1. About this notice
This notice explains how Algoza (Pty) Ltd handles personal information submitted through this website. Algoza aims to process personal information in a lawful, reasonable, and transparent manner, taking account of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Separate privacy and data-processing terms may apply to client engagements.
2. Information we receive and why
Algoza may process information that you provide through an enquiry or subscription form in order to:
- • Review and respond to project, service, employment, supplier, or general enquiries.
- • Arrange conversations, prepare proposals, and manage prospective client relationships.
- • Send requested or consented-to communications, including engineering insights.
- • Operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the website and its supporting infrastructure.
3. Sharing and safeguards
Algoza may use service providers that support website hosting, email, communications, security, or professional operations. Information should be shared only where necessary for the relevant purpose, a legal obligation, or the protection of legitimate rights. Algoza applies reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and context, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
A service provider may process information from another country. Where cross-border processing is relevant, Algoza should consider the purpose, protection, contractual arrangement, and applicable legal requirements. Read the public security approach for the broader engineering control position.
4. Optional website analytics
With your choice, Algoza may use Google Analytics to measure pages, acquisition sources, calls to action, form-funnel progress, and privacy-safe lead categories. Microsoft Clarity may be used separately for masked heatmaps and session recordings that help identify usability problems. These services are not loaded through this website before the relevant optional choice is saved.
Algoza does not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, company names, enquiry text, lead references, calculator inputs, or exact calculator results to these analytics services. Form content and tool results are explicitly masked for session recording.
When campaign measurement is enabled and you allow analytics, this browser may remember the first and most recent recognised campaign links for up to 30 days. These records contain campaign identifiers and dates, not a visitor identifier. Without analytics consent, forms still work and only the permitted context of the current request is used. A submitted enquiry may retain its recognised campaign source in our CRM; this indicates a recorded source, not proof that a campaign caused a sale.
You can change or withdraw your optional choices at any time. Withdrawing a choice stops future optional collection in this browser but does not automatically delete information already retained under an applicable provider retention setting.
5. LinkedIn Page publishing and reporting
Algoza may connect its website publishing system to the Algoza LinkedIn Page. The connection stores encrypted authorisation tokens and the Page identifier so that an approved article can be published to the Page.
For an eligible article, Algoza sends the article title, excerpt, public URL, selected topics or hashtags, dedicated social image, and image alternative text to LinkedIn. Delivery identifiers and limited operational evidence are retained to prevent duplicate posts, investigate failures, and support authorised retries.
Authorised staff may also prepare and schedule standalone Page posts. Algoza stores their text, selected images, alternative text, scheduled times and revision history. Where reporting access is approved, Algoza retrieves and caches aggregate post performance, such as impressions, clicks, likes, comments and repost counts. This reporting does not collect the identities of people viewing or interacting with posts.
Staff may prepare Facebook and Instagram versions of a post, including channel-specific captions, image references and intended publication times. These preparations and their revision history are stored in Algoza Admin. In the preparation release, they are not transmitted to Meta, and Facebook or Instagram analytics are not collected.
Disconnecting the Page stops future API access. It does not remove posts already published on LinkedIn or automatically erase audit and delivery records that Algoza reasonably retains for security, accountability, and operational history.
6. Retention and your choices
Information should be retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, dispute management, or legitimate business records. Subject to applicable law, you may ask about personal information Algoza holds, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent for optional communications. Unsubscribing does not affect service or transactional messages that may still be necessary.
7. Information submitted through forms
Public website forms are intended for business contact and enough context to assess or route an enquiry. Do not include passwords, access tokens, production data, identity documents, health information, financial account details, legally privileged material, or confidential technical artefacts. If sensitive exchange becomes necessary, Algoza will agree an appropriate route after initial contact.
8. Contact, complaints, and updates
Send privacy questions or requests to info@algoza.co.za. If a concern is not resolved, you may have a right to approach South Africa's Information Regulator (opens in a new tab). Algoza may update this notice when website practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
